end of tourist visa, changing to student

Hello, Im staying for 30 days in china as a tourist. I want to stay more and I have an invitation to stay as a student for 3 months at a school. Is there any special procedure or anything I should know? Thank you very much!

Gerard, you can try to convert your L type into an student X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You need to do that 7 days before your L type expires.
