About:China Visa Application in USA

Would it be compulsory to have the flight itinerary when applying the Visa to China?

What if I do not have any fix dates or month yet planning to go China but I would just like to apply the visa for my wife in advanced. Would that be a problem?

If you don’t have an invitation letter, the flight itinerary and accommodation arrangement are necessary.
