About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Transportation to & from hkia to yau ma tei

We have 2 adults & 2 9 yrs old kids. We stay 4 days in Hk & our hotel is in Portland road in YauMaTei. How do I transport from HKIA to my hotel? MTA, airport express or bus? Which station I should get off if using bus? Should we buy a group MTA tickets or buy a octopus card

If you don't have many luggages, Airport Express + MTR is a good way. Take the express train from HKIA to HK Station. Walk through an underpass to Central and transfer to Tsuen Wan Line. Get off at Yau Ma Tei and walk onto Portland Road to find your hotel.

You can buy a Group Ticket for Airport Express for three people, and your 2 y/o kid can ride all transportation for free. If you will stay several days in HK, Octopus Card can be a good choice, and you need three cards.
