Question

I'm planning on hiking with my couisn. Can you hike from Eagles fly facing upwards to mutianyu?? If so how long would it take? How do you get to that point?

Hi, Matthew. You are suggested to spend two days to hike along your planned route. On the first day, you should set off at Dongzhimen Transportation Hub and take bus no. 936 to Yanqizhen Station. Then take bus no. H25 to Xizhazi Station and you will find the 5th team of Xizhazi Village directly. The bus trip takes about 3.5 hours. After some rest, you may climb to the Eagles Fly Facing Upwards and start hiking from there to Jiankou Spot for about 5 hours. At night, you are suggested to stay in the nearby Jiankou Village. On the next morning, you should get up early and hike to Mutianyu Great Wall from Jiankou Spot. It takes about 5 hours to reach there. Then you may get back to Beijing from Mutianyu Great Wall.
