Bring a desktop PC as cabin luggage

Hi

I am going to China(CAN) and would like to bring my desktop PC with me as cabin luggage or hold luggage, would this be a problem?

Thanks in advance.

You are allowed to bring your desktop PC to China. But you'll have to pay a tax of CNY400 for it to the customs if it costs more than CNY5000.

Thanks for the info, but my PC is for personal use and have been used for three months now. How would they determine the value of the PC?

Thanks in advance
