Fenghuang to Changsha by bus or G train?

I understand that there is a direct bus from Fenghuang Bus station to Changsha West Bus station every day and the ride takes 5 hours. Is the bus comfortable e.g. air con? any toilet breaks?

Alternatively I can take a local bus from Fenghuang to Huaihua Bus station and then proceed to the G train station for the hi speed train to Changsha which takes only 1.5h. How far is the Huaihua bus station from the Huaihua G train station?

Is it more convenient to take the bus directly from Fenghuang bus station to Changsha West Bus station then to take the local bus from Fenghuang to Huaihua Train station and then go to the G train station for the hi speed train to Changsha?
