About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi! I am interested in visiting Shanghai for a period of 5 days.

My plan is to fly from Helsinki, Finland to Sydney, Australia. However, I would like to have a 5 day layover in Shanghai. My concern is that the supposed flight would be Helsinki - Shanghai - Shenzhen (just transit, not leaving the airport) - Sydney. Am I eligible for the visa? I am concerned that the stop in Shenzhen Shanghai and Sydney might disqualify me. Can anyone help me?

You are right. In fact, anyone transiting through Shenzhen requires a visa these days.
