About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am flying from USA to PVG Aug 19 then depart to BKK on Aug 20.

I return to SH on Aug 25 and depart Aug 28 to USA. Do i qualify for the visa, and/or do I need to get 2 visas? Can I apply for the visa in advance?

Alyson, you are eligible for free transit in Shanghai. You don't need to apply for a visa for China. Have a nice trip!
