About:Simatai Great Wall

Visiting Wall at Simatai instead of popular location

We are 2 taking an orgznized tour but are thinking of leaving the group for 1 day to go to Simatai instead of popular visiting the ball at a popular location (not sure which town we would go to yet). Is that a good idea ? And what is the best way to organize ourselves for transportation ?

Well, Simatai is quite a good section to visit, but you need to communicate with your tour group in advance. As for the transportation, you can take a direct bus at the north side of Dongzhimen Public Transport Hub. It departs at 08:00, 09:00, 12:00 and 15:30 in weekdays and 08:00, 09:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:00 on weekends. The return route is the same. Besides, Simatai Section needs to be reserved in advance.
