About:Jinzhou Travel

can i go by bus from Jinzhou to Chengde? If so what times are buses?

Ken, there is only one direct bus departing at 09:30 am between the Jinzhou Bus Station and Chengde. But it doesn't run everyday. The ticket fare is CNY98/person. Besides, You are advised to take a train to reach Chengde. The whole trip takes you about 10 hours.
The ticket fare of hard sleeper is CNY114.5 and hard seat is CNY56.5.

thank you for the information. Yes, the train would be the best option. The train is direct from Jinzhou to Chengde? I don't need to go first to Beijing then out again ?

Yes, the train is direct from JZ to Chengde. There is no need for you to go first to Beijing for that.

I have tried to find the train to make a booking on the travel guide site - it is not listed - do you know the number of the train or a website where I can book it? (it is the sleeper that I want - I have found a day train listed but that is 9hrs)

This train starts from Shenyang and has a stop in Jinzhou. The train number is 2067. You can contact TravelChinaGuide and ask them to help you book the ticket. The e-mail is booking@travelchinaguide.com.
