About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

enter only to shanghai airport then to the cruise port

Hello, our family and friends are traveling from the US to Shanghai to take a cruise with Royal Carribean. We are going straight from the airport to the cruise port.. Do we need a transit visa? thanks.. Christina

Well, if the cruise leaves Shanghai for a third country or region, then you don't need the visa.
