Can I bring my cat to China if I have a student or 10-year visiting visa?

Hi --

I am planning to move back to Shanghai to study in the fall. I previously lived there for 8 years, and have a cat, who was born there. Will I be able to take her back with me if I have a student visa? What about with my present L visa, with which I can stay in the country for 60 days at a time?

Thank you for any information!
