17-hours transit in Beijing

Hi,

i am flying from singapore to beijing via airasia and then to ulaabaatar via MIAT. Both flights are separately booked and there's a 17-hours layover in Beijing. Do I need to get a transit stamp before passing through immigration to exit the airport?? Thanks!

If you need to exit the airport, you may need to apply for a stay permit.
