Hi, it's possible for you to do that.
First, prepare the relevant documents: your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, and a passport-style photo taken recently, your residence permit in China, proof of your financial support, your employment certificate, travel itinerary, round trip air tickets, and hotel booking record, as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary. Next, submit the application to Japan embassy via an appointed travel agency.
