About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I currently have a student visa which will expire on July 31st.

I want to stay in China in August to do some traveling so am looking to apply for a tourist L type. I will be staying on uni campus the night of my application, but will be living with a friend for the month of August, so what is the situation with the residence registration? Also I see it says that I need a bank statement to prove my funds are enough, but my bank account is from my home country so its not possible to get the statement, what happens in this case?

Thanks!

Hannah, you just truthfully write your living places when registering residence.
The bank account from your home country can be proof of your financial support.

Thank you for your response. Would I need to get a paper statement sent from my home bank or would a printed online statement be enough?
I currently have a residence permit, which I got the residence proof from my uni when applying for that. So do I need to get a new residence registration from the university?

I think a printed online statement is enough.
You don’t need a new residence registration from the university.
