Can if bring silver empire coins as gifts?

I would like to brings gifts of silver Chinese coins from the 1800s and early 1900s into China for gifts. Is this allowed? Must they be declared?

As I know, it is allowed, but you must declare them if the value of then is over CNY5,000.
