Can I bring a knife (105mm blade length) into China packed in my check in luggage?

It will be used for fishing and camping.

Hi. Is it possible to let me know how you know this as I have found no information regarding this. My father in law brings chef knifes (which are much bigger) into China all the time from Germany without any issues. Thank you.
