Transit through Shenzhen

Hi I am Australian and arrive at 4.30 am into Shenzhen and would like to stay at a hotel and lok at the city before my flight to Singapore that night at 8pm.
Do I need a visa to leave the airport if staying less than 24hr. I will have my onward ticket with me.
Thank you

Marcia, you need a visa for that and it is possible for you to get it upon arrival.
