About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I visit Macau from Guangzhou?

Good day,

I'm Lithuanian citizen, will be traveling from Vietnam to UAE in June. Have a very long transit in Guangzhou. This is a great chance to use 72 hours free visa and visit Guangzhou. My question is - can I use these 72 hours to travel to Macau as well? Lithuanian passport doesn't need a visa to Macau, but I do not know if I'm allowed to leave Guangzhou region and to re-enter after visiting Macau. Please advice.
Thank you in advance!

Technically you can, but you must fly to Macau and there are no nonstop flights.

you cannot use the 72 hours visa to do so, as Macau is not in Guangdong province

To clarify:
NO you cannot land in Guangzhou, have a 72 hours visa and go to Macau by boat or other terrestrial shuttle (BTW. same applies for Hong Kong)
But YES in theory you can try to fly from Guangzhou airport problem is ... there is no regular flight from Guangzhou Airport to Macau.
