About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

This is Md Masudur Rahman Khalil. I am holding Bangladeshi passport.

I have got a Mexican fellowship for higher study as a PhD research student. I already have valid Mexican visa until 26 Oct 2017 (temporary resident stay). There is a direct flight ( non-stop) from Shanghai (PVG) to Mexoco City ( MEX) operated by aeromexico. I want to fly Mexico (MEX) from Shanghai (PVG) on 1 August, 2017. I have no regular Chinese visa to entry in China. I want to go China on 31 July, 2017 (I will stay one day in a hotel at Shanghai) then I will fly Mexico next day ( 01.08.2017). It is not connecting flight from Dhaka. It will be a different flight for going China from Dhaka. Could I travel Mexico from Shanghai (PVG) without Chinese visa through the use 72- hour free transit policy ? Please advise detail on my trip. If I need regular Chinese visa please tell.

You cannot use the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai because of your nationality. You need to apply for a transit G type in advance.
