144 hours visa to leo

Question

We will stay 96 hours in China but we arrive in Beijing and we have to go to Shanghai;and we will leave China from Shanghai.We understood we have to leave China from the same city we arrived? is it allright or we have the possibility to go out from an other city like Shanghai???within these 96 hours special visa.

You are not eligible for the 144 hour free transit. You need to apply for a visa in advance.

Not only do you have to leave China from the same city that you arrived in, you are also restricted to the city/region of arrival if you qualify for 72 free transit. So you can't arrive in Beijing and take a round trip to Shanghai, for example.
