Can you have a student and business visa?

Hi, I am a U.S citizen studying abroad for less than 6 months in Shanghai in the fall. I also work a company which I would get a 10 year business M type to China. Can I have both the student X type and business M type at the same time?

Hi, I'm afraid you cannot do that. One can only hold one Chinese visa at a time. Once you get a student X type, the business M type will be voided automatically.
