About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can you clarify the following:-If I sail into Shanghai then Seoul then Xiamen then Bangkok.

Am I exempt from getting a visa due to the 144hr ruling that came in last year, but if I sail into Xiamen then Seoul then Shanghai then Bangkok, I do require a visa & if that is correct can you explain why. Thankyou.

Timothy, if your travel route is a country (not Korea) –Shanghai (144 hours)-Seoul-Xiamen (24 hours)-Bangkok, or a country (not Korea)-Xiamen (24 hours)-Seoul-Shanghai (144 hours)-Bangkok, you may be able to use the 144 hour free transit and 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai and Xiamen respectively. However, you’d better confirm that with the cruise ship company.
