About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

My family and I (total 5 persons) are going to Los Angelos, USA in Air China via Beijing.

We are all Norway Nationals. We have a 30 hours transit in Beijing. Do we need a visit visa if we want to go out of the Airport for some sightseeing during that 30 hours transit?

True,if ur country is not on the list of 72hrs free transit, then u have to apply visa beforehand. I'm suprised that Norway is not on the list.
