About:Meizhou Travel

We plan to go from Guangzhou to Meizhou, my question :

1. Which is better.. by bus or by train? We consist of 2 elderly (60+).
2. In MZ, can i use taxi to go to Yongding Tulou and get back at the same day? Or rent a car?
I plan to spend 2 nights at MZ, 1 day around downtown area and 1 day for Yongding Tulou.
3. From MZ, i plan to go to Hongkong, any direct bus/train? Which one is better? Or I must stop at Shenzhen first, then continue from Shenzhen to HK?
Thanks in Advance,
Regards,

1. You are advised to take bus to MZ because there are quite rare trains operating in one day. You can take bus at Tianhe Passenger Transportation Station and the ticket fare is CNY160/person. The bus operates from 06:55 to 22:00 with the frequency of 25-60 minutes.
2. You are advised to rent a car to get there.
3. You can take a direct bus beside MZ Huaqiao Building. As I remember, it usually departs at 07:30, 10:30 and 14:30. The ticket fare may be CNY140/person. You may confirm this in advance.
