About:Hong Kong Airport Express

Check in baggage at Kowloon 24 hourbefore my flight departs by using Octopus card

Q1:
I'll use Octopus card to check in baggage at KOW on 4 June 2017, will my Octopus card be immediately charge for the fare from KOW to Airport Station. Will there be any double charge if I take AEL from KOW on the next day (5 June 2017) at KOW to Airport ?

Q2:
Can I still use my Octpus card for riding on MTR after using in town check in service during 4 to 5 June 2017 ?

Do you mean that you will check in your baggage at Kowloon City Terminal?
1. As I know, if you need to check in your baggage there, you may purchase an AE ticket first, which is to say your Octopus Card may charge the AE ticket fare immediately and you will get a ticket. Don’t worry, it will not have double charge if you take AEL next day. You just need to show your ticket when you take it.
2. As I know, you may use it for metro rides during 4th to 5th June. You can confirm this with the staff when you check in your baggage.
