Transit Visa at Train Station

Is it possible to get the 24 hour and 72 hour transit visas at the train station in Beijing? My father and I (boh with US passports) will be arriving in Beijing via train from Mongolia and flying on to other countries from the Capitol Airport in Beijing the next morning.

Ben, it’s impossible to get the 72 hour free transit in Beijing train station.
But if you stay in Beijing for not more than 24 hours, you can get the 24 hour direct transit.
