I am French citizen with a touristic visa in Egypt,How to apply for a chinese visa from Cairo?

Hello,
Can i apply from the Chinese Embassy in Cairo,and what is the exact list of documents they need?
I see: A letter from your embassy but they don't explain which kind of letter.and they never answer the phone call...I am not in Cairo and don't want to go there for nothing..

Yes, it's possible for you to make the application from Cairo.
If you go to China for sightseeing purpose, you need to provide a filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, your passport and its photocopy, valid visa in Egypt and the copy, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.

Hello Audrey. I am a USA citizen and will be applying for a work visa in Cairo next month. How did your experience as a non-Egypt citizen go? I got thru on the phone once but I was rushed and given vague answers.
