how to change a s1 visa into a z type?

Question

My husband is a Chinese. I am currently holding a S1 type staying in China. I cannot work with S1 type . I want to change my S1 type  into a Z type, so that I can work and help my family as well. Is it possible to make the change? Will my S1 type  history affect my Z type  application？

Chris, it's possible for you to convert your current S1 type to a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China.It will not affect the Z type application.
