Can we drive or walk to see the sand dunes?

I am traveling with elderly people, it would be difficult to do camel riding in Dunhuang. Can we instead drive to see the sand dunes, or walk with over-boots, and then go to the Crescent Lake area?

Yes. There are sightseeing cars available. You can either take the car or walk with the over-boots to visit the site as you like.
