About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight From London to Phuket via Beijing

I am planning to book a flight to Phuket from London which has a 6 hour stop in Beijing.

Is it possible to go into the centre of Beijing to meet some relatives and have some dinner within that time on a free Visa?

Also how easy would this application be?

Leslie, it's possible for you to do that. Just apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the immigration office inside the airport, and you can leave the airport to visit the relatives and have some dinner then.
