About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hi, I am doing a trip around Asia. When I departed Australia,

I tried to apply for a Chinese visa (given that part of my Aisa trip will be in China), but was informed that there is no acceptation of application more than 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Now I am in Thailand and tried to apply for the Chinese visa, but was informed that I must return to Australia to apply for it?! I have paid for all of my 3 weeks stay in China. Is there a way for me to apply for a tourist L type to China as an Australia in Thailand (outside of my home country)?
Many thanks for any guidelines.

Michelle, you can try to find a travel agency to help you with the application.
