The process of Getting tickets

If I use the travel china train app to book tickets do I get the ticket sent through to my phone that I can show at the station? What is the process?

Also is it advised to pre-book tickets or show up to the station?

Rail tickets are always in great demand, we suggest you book it in advance. Sometimes, when you are in the station on the departure date, there might be no ticket left.
If you book with us no matter through webpage or APP, we will issue ticket after receiving your payment. If you choose to pick up the paper ticket by yourself, we will give you a pick up number by email, by using which you can collect the paper ticket at the station. If you choose to have it delivered to your hotel, we will deliver it to you directly by express. Hope it is clear.
