preparing documents for marriage in china

Hello, any person know the answers: i am an american planning to goto china to be married. i have certified all required documents needed for marriage here in america. Do I need to have all Marriage documents sent to the chinese consulate here in America for verification before i go to china for marriage? Can my documents be verified here in america so the process will be faster in china? Thank you for your anticipated help.

As far as I know, you need to get the single status certificate attested by Chinese consulate in America. It is mandatory for marriage registration in China.
