About:China Visa

After receiving my z visa, how long is it valid for before I must enter China?

I'm American, but I'm living in the UAE and want to apply for my z type here. However, I won't be able to leave for China for several months. If I get the z type now will it still be valid 5 months from now?

Justin, usually, it is valid for 3 months since the date of issuance.
