About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am an Australian citizen and am going to Shanghai for a holiday for about 12 days

and then will be going to Hong Kong. Do I need a visa to enter Hong Kong from mainland China, even though Australian citizens are not required to have an entry permit.
