TSA to PVG to HK to TPE - Qualifies yes. but what if After I enter I need to change TSA to PVG toTPE

If after I enter the country on a 144 hour visa, my trip requires me to change my plans to go back home instead of the third country what do I do?

Then you'll be put on a blacklist and most likely will not be allowed to use the facility in the future. If you are travelling like that, then you should just pay for a multi-entry visa instead.
