About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

How recent is this "latest information"?

"Based on the latest information, the 72 hours starts from 00:00 the day following the entry date in almost all the airports, except Beijing Airport."

I went to Beijing in November last year and stayed for about 85 hours because of my flight timings, and everything went fine. I am going back in a few weeks time and after reading the article again, I am now not sure if this will work again.

Could you let me know your thoughts?

They changed the rules sometime at late Nov last year. Now it's on Timatic and those with layovers over the 72h mark will be denied boarding. One guy actually got the confirmation by calling Beijing immigration.
