About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I have a valid double-entry visa to China but I would like to instead only use 72hr Free Transit

can I ensure they use this or will they stamp my passport and use one of my double-entry even though I am only in Beijing for 16 hours? I would like to keep my valid visa for a longer trip...

You can apply for the free transit in Beijing at the immigration inspection upon arrival, and then you won't need to use the double entries.

Ok great - so I can specifically ask them to not stamp my double-entry? PERFECT!

I assume if I am getting in on two tickets that are (1) BEIJING-KUALA LUMPUR-BEIJING then (2) BEIJING-SEOUL-BEIJING with only 16 hours in Beijing between KL and SEOUL then that should mean I am eligible for the 72hr free transit right?

Thank you for the help
