About:Exit Regulations of China

Now the maximum amount you can exit with is RMB 20,000.

hi. i have been informed that they have changed the regulations in 2017. Please could someone confirm this is correct? Previously we could exit with rmb equivalent to USD 10,000

I've checked the lastest information, Each person can take CNY 20,000 or 5000 USD at most. If the money exceeds the amount, you have to declare it to the customs. Probably, you should pay a tax. You are advised to take a cheque or deposit the money in a debit card and then withdraw when you arrive. This won't cause any problem. :)
