Can a Hong Kong ID holder enter Macau training from a third country?

I'm Pakistani national and living in Hong Kong. I have Hong Kong ID and I don't need pre entry visa to enter Macau. I want to know that will it be same if I'm travelling to Macauvfrom a third country (not travelling from Hong Kong)?
