1) to come to consulate for visa, do we need appointment?

2) can we get the visa the same day we come to the consulate?3) we have an invitation by our son who is a Chinese citizen and lives in Beijing, do we also need to have airline tickets( itinerary)?Thank you

You don't need to make an appointment for the application.You cannot get the visa the same day you come to the consulate, but it's possible to get it the next day if you choose the rush service.If you have an invitation letter, maybe you don't need the airline tickets( itinerary).
