About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi I am a philippines passport holder traveling from philippines to canada

I have 17hrs lay over in shanghai can I do 72 hrs free transit? So if I do can I get out of the airport and visit the province?

You are not eligible for the 72-hour transit. You can apply for an entry permit on arrival but it is at the discretion of the immigration officer.
