I'm flying from LAX (CSA Airlines), and I'll arrive in Guangzhou Airport

only to make conection going to Hong Kong (Cathay Airlines).
Is necessary execute the immigration process? (I don't have a China-Visa).

PLs help me understand.

According to your situation, it is an international to international transfer at CAN. You don't need to finish the immigration process. You can enjoy the 24 hours visa-free policy as long as your stopover is less than 24 hours.
