We're US and Swiss (double citizenship) who are living iare planning a trip to Vietnam for 8-9 weeks

We are US and Swiss citizens (double citizenship) who are living in Atlanta, GA is planning a trip to Vietnam. On the way back home, we would like to visit Shanghai for 8-9 days. We would like to know whether we can apply a visa to Shanghai from Vietnam?
