Can I apply Z type visa in PSB office in Mainland?

I'm currently working for IT company in Shenzhen and my permits are valid until November, 2017 but this summer I want to take teaching position. The school that I will work in has got me " work permit " issued by the SAFEA. Now what should I do next before I can teach legally? What's the steps of getting the new visa and FEC?

Rico, you should first cancel your alien employment permit that you hold now, and then your new employer can get the FEC for you.
Next, try to apply for a new work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB.

ok. But how can we apply FEC without Z type? I am not transfering cuz they told me we can't transfer alien employment permit to FEC. I still don't get you. If I cancel the alien employment permit, then what documents is needed to apply the FEC. Normally there must be Z type before applying FEC, then before applying Residence permit. Pls explain further , cuz the school has got me the "work permit"
You mean: canceled alien >apply FEC >apply Z type> Residence permit
What I know is : apply Z > apply FEC > apply Residence permit
