About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am an Australian citizen with Australian passport. I lived in Singapore as a permanent resident.

I like to travel to Shanghai for meetings and seminars and will stay in a hotel of the seminar. I will return to Singapore after the meeting, can i apply for the 144 hours transit visa. Australia to Singapore to Shanghai - transit 6 days and then backi to Singapore before returning to Australia.

Ray, no, you cannot apply for the 144 hour free transit if you travel like that. If you want to use the free transit, you are advised to travel like Singapore-Shanghai (6 days)-HK-Singapore or Singapore-Shanghai-Australia.
