z99 soft sleeper shanghai to guangzhou. (15 hrs) what food option available

I will be travelling on the Z99 soft sleeper Shanghai to Guangzhou. (15 hrs) What are the food option available? Are you able to buy from stations on the way when the ride stops. Which station stop is best for buying? either Chinese food or western food.  Ken from Sydney

There is dining car, but usually there is  no western food offered. On the way, since you could not get into the station, you can only buy from the venders at platform. Most food is simple, like snakes and tea flavored boiled eggs.
