Is there a direct metro train from Kunming South Railway Station to Xingyao Road?

Well, there is no direct metro that operates between these two places. You need to take a public bus first and then transfer to the metro line. Thus you are suggested to take a taxi from the South Railway Station directly. The cab fare is CNY 40-50 in usual time.

That's wrong, Google maps is outdated with Kunming subway. You can easily take the subway at South railway, it connects to line 1 as seen on the map above! Don't let dumb ass people tell you things that are wrong, probably never been to Kunming and writing some bullshit.. only because Google maps (which isn't available in China due to firewall) doesn't show updated subway map doesn't mean there isn't one. Best check Baidu maps for Chinese public transport ;)
