1.75 L of Whiskey / small can of almonds

We bought a bottle of Whiskey to share with friends we are visiting in China. It is 1.75 L. Is this too big to bring in checked luggage?
Also, can I bring a small unopened can of almonds in my carry-on OR checked luggage?

Thanks.

David, you are required to declare and pay tax for taking 1.75L of whiskey.
Almonds can be put either in your carry-on or checked luggage. No worry.
